Commission a Portrait
If you are local to the Portland, OR metro area, you can commission a head-and-shoulders portrait of yourself or someone special!
Each piece is started during an in-person painting session, and finished afterwards based on a photo of the sitting. The sitting can be done at my studio (which is ADA accessible), or a public location of your choosing. I work in a loose, colorful style that tries to capture the subject’s energy. I’ve provided a few examples on this page for you to check out. We can chat about the vibe and tone of your portrait before the painting session, so it feels just right for you.
The finished piece is made from the finest artist-quality oil paints, on an archival museum series panel. The painting takes about a week to be dry and ready for pick-up. Local drop-off can also be arranged.

Because the portrait sittings require sitting still for a long period of time, I limit my commissions to kids 6 years old or older. The painting session for an individual kid between 6-10 years old will be 1 hour long, instead of the standard 2 hours.

If you’d like to purchase a commission as a gift for someone other than yourself, make the purchase here, and I will reach out to the recipient with all the commissioning details.

Monday-Friday appointments are best! Weekend appointments require me to secure childcare, so there's an additional $15/hour fee for each hour of the painting session.
Individual Portraits … $90
This is for either a 8x8 inch or 8x10 inch piece, for kids and adults alike. When making the booking, you will pay a 20% deposit to cover the cost of materials. The remaining balance is due at the end of the painting session, which can be done either with cash or through Venmo.
